La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2011 : Tasting notes

www.jamessuckling.com, James Suckling, April 1st, 2012:

Beautiful second wine with juicy fruit, chocolate and hints of orange peel. Medium body, with soft tannins and a medium finish. Second wine of Haut-Bailly. 86-87

The Wine Journal, Neal Martin, April 27th, 2012:

The La Parde de Haut-Bailly represents 40% of the crop and is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon (Merlot more than usual as the yields were higher.) It has a very fine, quite minerally bouquet with good delineation, a hint of chalk and graphite in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins, a little brusque and structured although that will soften by the time of bottling. The finish shows more fleshiness and it has good length. Tasted April 2012. 87-89

The Wine Cellar Insider, Jeff Leve, April 24th, 2012:

Smoky plum and spic open to medium body and an approachable black cherry finish. 87-88
